Stood the Test of my Day

The other night, my mother and I were talking about my life style this term. I am gone so much that she has begun to follow me from room to room just watching me “be”. We were talking about my three volunteer jobs with the local high school, University SHADOW program and Team Up program. We also were talking about my two jobs and the fact I am a full time student. And that any spare time I have, I am training for my next race or doing homework.

It’s gotten a little out of control.

But I don’t think it is changing soon. I thrive on waking up running (figuratively only…I normally would do a run after at least ONE coffee.) so when/if I need to be wearing makeup for something, it had better be able to keep up with me. I am not walking around looking like a little raccoon with running mascara or something of the like.

Anastasia and I have done some work in the past and I was thrilled when they sent me the Lash Genius Waterproof Topcoat to review. It makes any mascara waterproof and keeps it looking fresh.

Yesterday, I put it to the test. Here are my thoughts:

1. It makes my eyes look good.

2. It stood the test of my day. My eyes remained looking fresh and fabulous through a morning of classes, a hot drive with no AC, a job interview (what can I say,…I have a problem), a 10 km speed workout in the sun, and lasted long into the evening.

3. It didn’t make my eyes feel like there was any product on them. Super light weight and no drying or clumping.

Yesterday when I was putting it on and trying to think of what I could say to give a rounded out review (i.e.) say things I didn’t like, I thought of one that often haunts the poor student…the cost. TheLash Genius retails for $21 at Sephora, but honestly, considering how well it works and the quality of it, I would pay that for it. I am all about wearing as little makeup as possible without looking like a frazzled and stressed out soul.

If you are are busy beyond words and are thinking that having make up that stays on your face is a good idea,

Lash Genius is available at Sephora

starting May 2012.

    • You know what? That’s a huge pet peeve of mine, when (even expensive!) mascaras flake off and land under your under-eye area at the end of the day. It looks stupid and I hate it. My favorite mascara combo does it, and I’m constantly rubbing it all day to get rid of it. I’ve stated before, I need to get some Anastasia from Sephora…hmm.

      • Seriously, this stuff works! I am in awe. You can get by with sub par mascara and still have long lasting eye makeup. Worth the money.
Also, glad you could finally get the comment through, I will have to check that out!??!
