February Coffee Date

Well hello there and welcome to our coffee date! It is a monthly blog where I chat about what I would actually tell you if we were sitting down for coffee and I just started rambling.

You may notice my phenomenal featured image for the month – each month, I just take a picture I took that month while drinking coffee. This one was snapped after a chilly Friday morning run with a local run group called the Running Boyz. By accident. So that announces the caliber of what is to come.

What I am reading these days:

open-heart-open-mind-9781476756981_lg

Clara Hughes is one of Canada’s most decorated Olympians. This book tells her story and her struggle with depression. It is a beautifully written book and I am enjoying it a lot.

My current worst habit

I’ve been so busy lately that, although I am folding my laundry when I put it away, I am rummaging around and my drawers have been left looking like this. Add “organizing my dresser” to my February goals.

Currently eating

Dates, stuffed with all natural peanut butter, dipped in dark chocolate.

Because life is short.

Today could also be titled: The Post With the Worst Photography

Currently listening to

I have been belting this song out in my commute for the past two solid months. Off key.

Current favourite blog

Running on Veggies

Lottie is a health coach and happens to be one of Kara Goucher’s best friends so I steal recipes and tips for my own weekly diet as well. Killer recipes and one of my favourite features – Workout Wednesdays featuring professional athletes.

Current Guilty Pleasure

When I am visit my parents, they have a new cat laser with shapes like a happy face and a mouse and I love sitting and catching up with my parents and watching her go insane. It never gets old.

What I am watching

Still Suits. I watch TV so rarely that it takes me an unacceptable length of time to get through anything.

What I am wearing these days

My winter New Balance track suit.

I mean it. It’s warm and wind resistant so between winter running and XC skiing, it’s been my go-to. I’ve been wearing it about 3-4 days a week. Jacket is here and pants are here.

My favourite thing on the internet this month

THIS

Alrighty. It is off on another weekend adventure for me!

After work today, I am headed to Toronto and then Peterborough for an orienteering race. It will be a fun weekend of playing outside and visiting some of my favourite people.

What do you have planned for the weekend?
What are your favourites this month?
Any suggestions for a book I should read next?

My plans for the weekend include some Netflix, going out with my brother and his friends, working out, and homework! Some of my favorite things this month have been dunkin donuts iced coffee, lenny&larrys cookies, spinning, and naps hehe. Have a great weekend! 🙂

I don’t care what they look like, those peanut butter stuffed, chocolate dipped dates sound fantastic to me.

[…] Remember that dresser that was in shambles last month? I cleaned it. It literally took all month, but I made it happen. […]
