Hammering Into 2017 – A New Partnership

As we head into 2017, there are some changes to my partnerships and the companies that I am working with. I like to be as transparent as possible because it does affect you. I try very hard to make Laces and Lattes a resource for you or at the very least, entertainment. What I never ever want it to be is an advertisement.

Over the next little while, I will be announcing my partnerships because there are some new faces  to the mix. I am doing in this format because I am thrilled to be working with each and every one of them. They all are companies that I have gone out of my way to use and in each little post, I will explain a little why it works for me.

I am not going to say it is going to work for you. I am not going to say their products have changed my life. But what I will say is how they have made my life just a little better and why I really really like using them in my training. And for the record, none of them have paid me to say a thing.

My first awesome, super duper partnership is Hammer Nutrition Canada.  Bottom line of what makes them special for me is that they provide clean sports nutrition ingredients and don’t mess with my digestion during long races. They just work for me and I love how they taste.

This is my first year being an athlete ambassador for them and I am thrilled. Over the past couple years, I have swapped out all of my gels to Hammer gels because they are made from real ingredients and don’t mess up my stomach on long endurance races like some other brands. My absolute favourite gel is the Nocciola. It takes like Nutella and when I am on day three of a multi-day race – it is exactly what I need.

I used the gel in all of my races over a half marathon distance this year.

I used the gel in all of my races over a half marathon distance this year. This was taken before my 70.3 this summer.

Another big one for me is their perpetuem. I was first introduced to it by my adventure racing teammate, Brad, who handed it to me on course and it brought me back from a very dark place. I use it in place of a sports drink during my 70.3 racing and long bike trips. My favourite flavour is a toss up between the Latte (obviously) and the chocolate. A fun tip: if you are on a hot summer day and forget about it in your bottle, it tastes exactly like hot chocolate when you drink it later! Basically, it acts similar to a sports drink but it maximises fat burning which is vital for endurance events and prevents muscle fatigue.

I have tested most of their products in the past couple years in my training and I like how they work for me. If you are interested in trying some for yourself, you will get 20% off your order using the code KUEPFER20. Or ask me for a sample at the next race or event we are at – I am happy to share.

Thanks for being so supportive of the people I work alongside. I am excited to be a part of the team and look forward to sharing some more of the 2017 Laces and Lattes family in the coming weeks.

Have an awesome weekend!

Personally, I like reading what products really work for people and why they work! If it’s something I use over and over, you bet I want to talk about it and work with a company. If it’s something I have never heard of, it’s not usually something I will promote because it’s not a real love of mine.

Congrats, Jess! I know you have been using these steadily so I am so happy that you have a partnership with Hammer now! You are the perfect Ambassador! 🙂

I have never tried them but I trust your judgement so I will pick some up once I start running a bit longer and see how they work for me! Also, nutella is delicious soooo….I’m sure they won’t disappoint!
