Weekend of Awesome and Polar Giveaway Winner Announced
What. a. weekend.
As a part of my November goals, I have been getting back into the pool more and I actually had fun swimming this week! I think the biggest thing is that I have made a point of going with people and swimming with the tri swim team. It makes a huge difference when you have other people to motivate you.
A few things I learned over my weekend of training:
- Training with power on the bike is amazing. I went to my first class at Ziggys Cycle for a Saturday morning endurance training session with Alex VanderLinden and it was so much fun. Nothing is more motivating that trying to beat your own times.
- I am terrible at navigation. I did the Raid the Hammer adventure race with Mark and Dan and we were lost with me attempting to lead the team. Great practice with land features, but I will try and do a better job of taking bearings more often next year. I will be posting a recap soon!
- If you want to go on a hike and make sure you don’t run because you have a race the next day, go hiking with a coffee.
- If you are running through woods with burrs, wear a hat. It took a boatload of conditioner and I lost a lot of hair, but I finally worked out all of the offending pieces.
I had had so much fun looking at all of your awesome outdoor photos as they have come in over the last week on instagram and twitter. You guys are AWESOME and it is so cool to see what you have been up to. Thank you to everyone who entered. I wish I could give you ALL a Polar watch, but the winner of the M200 giveaway is Al.
I will be sending you a message to connect you to your awesome new Polar unit! Didn’t win and really want the watch? Some of my fellow ambassadors are holding a giveaway shortly as well! I will share those details with you and you have three more chances of winning.
Have an awesome Monday, everyone.
Haha glad you got the burrs out of your hair…i realized when i got home i had a few small bunches in mine as well!
Hope we cross paths again soon!
Oh burrs….
So awesome to see you and I can’t wait to connect with you at another event soon. If you ever want to go for a trail run – I am always game!
Yes!!! I am out every weekend on the trails! Lets touch base soon!
Lol what is your hair dresser going to say?!?! 🙂 Despite the getting lost in the race I’m sure you guys still had a great time and I can’t wait to read the recap.
HA, hold a coffee to prevent running. Smart!
