COFFEE DATE

June Coffee Date

Sneaking in on the last day of June. And WHAT A JUNE it has been. 🙂

Favourite Song This Month

I am not sure how I feel about this but it literally is the first time that I have ever even LIKED a Justin Bieber song, much less have it be one of my jams.

What I am reading

images

A Purpose Ridden. I just wrapped up this book actually and I cannot recommend it enough. Ryan Correy does such an incredible job of painting a picture of ultra endurance/adventure cycling but I think what surprised me the most is how beautifully written it was. Often memoirs are a little stark but this was a welcome surprise. Read this book.

Currently Eating

Or at least thinking of eating..this awesome sandwich from Montreal. I visited my dear friends Michael and Jess while I was there this month and we grabbed dinner at this awesome garden patio in the city. Unfortunately, I forget the name of the place, but all I can remember is that there were coconut chips flavoured like bacon in my sandwich. I am not so far removed from bacon that I thought it was a sufficient replacement, but it was absolutely delicious. (No – I am not vegetarian, but sometimes I eat like one!)

Me.

Cutest photo taken this month

I can’t choose. I think June has been the cutest month of my life. There are babies and puppies this month so you have been warned. And I may be biased, but Mark Cullen is in here a couple times too…

Obie (aka Bellwoods Bear) and Mark. Obie is the Newfoundlander puppy of one of our very good friends JJ. Never in the history of the world should you follow a dog’s instagram account more.

I mean.. COME ON.

And then…

I bug my sister to send me photos every day and she sends me a daily photo like this one.

Ok. I am done. But I am seriously the most excited to be an aunt and get to know this new little member of our family. My sister is one of my favourite people in the world so if her son is anything like her, we will all be pretty lucky.

Favourite Podcast

Recode Decode.  I am fascinated by the tech world but I can honestly say that Kara Swisher is my favourite journalist. Full stop. So combining the two into a sharp shooting interview format makes learning about the latest in tech a lot easier. I like a big range in the podcasts I listen to and this is my all time favourite tech podcast I listen to.

And that’s all for this month! I am off for a big long weekend of training. This is my final big week before I start my Ironman taper – I cannot believe how fast it is approaching. I am feeling excited and ready.

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Ok, your NEPHEW is so cute! Congratulations! I also think that sandwich looks absolutely delicious and would like to have it for lunch today if it weren’t so far away.

Completely laughed out loud at the instagram post about early bedtimes–I’m a teachers, so during the summer I feel like a total rockstar when I stay up past 11pm
