London and Half Marathon
I am sitting on my bed beside my suitcase. I am off again this weekend to Paris, but this time, I have an agenda!
The half marathon.
I am excited because I actually have never run a half before in a competitive setting and it will be fantastic to be running by the Notre Dame! They seem to have everything in place for a successful race with energy shots, fruit and sports drink. They also give you a thermal wrap at the end, a medal and a t-shirt. This is one t-shirt that I am wearing while I work out and I will refuse to feel tacky!
Excitement aside, you may be wondering how I have trained for this race.
I haven’t.
I will let you know how THAT goes.
Actually, I have been very focused on the up coming RAID that will require a lot more strength and endurance so I have been Cross fitting, going to 3 spin classes a week, pilates twice a week and then fitting running in where I can. I am hoping to actually do better than usual because I have taken a marathon training hiatus in order to strengthen my weaker points for the RAID, such as upper body strength for climbing and my cycling muscles. I have spent all evening creating a sport resume to add to the stack of paper work my team needs to send in to be considered.
Other ways that I have been training for the half is going to London, England last weekend with one of my best friends and consuming mass quantities of this:

A few more shots of the weekend:
I shopped like crazy. I love LOVE being in one of the fashion capitals of the world. I am definitely taking advantage of it.
In fact…I hopped up from my slothing position on my bed (which coincidently doubles as a couch) and took a picture of one of the new items I bought this past weekend:
Love it. When I bought it, the salesman asked me what shoes I would wear with it (love it!) and I told him my Christian Louboutins. He said it is perfect. I think I am going to wear it this summer, a few of Jesse’s friends are getting married and I need some great clothing for the events!
Speaking of clothing, I better get back to packing. I had a packing routine down pat, but now that I have a marathon thrown in there, it takes a bit more planning. I will see you all later with a race recap!
Cheers, lovies!

I love that skirt. I want to go back to London and go shopping, which it might be going back soon to visit relatives.
There will never be anything wrong with ice-cream. ever. ha.
Love your blog Jessica! You are a lovely an interesting writer. I look forward to reading your stories!
Sincerely
Phyl
LOVING everything you’re posting from England. The “Cheers lovies” totally reminds me of something my Dad would say, except he says … CHERRIO! lol
I’m so jealous!!!!! That’s so amazing!
