Nov2

…it seems like a long way to go for a concert.

You know those last few days before you leave on a trip – the frenzied scrambling from one place to another, trying to get everything done and feeling fortunate when you show up at the right place, on time, with all buttons done up and proper papers in hand?

Well that is this week for me.

And the week after that.

This weekend, I am taking a deliciously impulsive road trip with a dear friend to see Noel Gallagher and Snow Patrol in Nashville, Tennessee.

When I told my mother, she blinked at me and said: “It seems to be a long way to go for a concert…”

Indeed. But I am embracing the simple fact that I am young and able to drop and just GO. I am not so green that I think it will be this way forever, so I am going for the sheer joy of being in a car with a close friend with nothing but strong coffee and great conversation for the long (24 hr) drive. Sounds like a perfect way to spend a weekend to me!

And that would be great if I stopped there.

But I am headed to Arizona the following week for 4 days on business trip, two of which will be filled with business and marketing training and the other with adventures!

All that to say, all I have for you to close this week off is what I have been writing this week. It is a new column that I have been very excited to begin through work and will be a monthly occurrence!

Now if you excuse me, I have to go pack, grab the right papers and button my shirt…
