Chocolate Vitamins?!

You know, if they would wrap vitamins and minerals in chocolate, there would be a higher likelihood of more people consuming appropriate doses (of vitamins, that is).

chocolate

Well, some smarty-pants in Richmond Hill has us covered.

Deco multi-vitamins are for adults what the Flintstone vitamins are to kids – a delicious way to get some extra nutrients in a diet. I was slightly incredulous when I heard of the pairing, but I was set on giving it a try, because CHOCOLATE.

When the box arrived, the first thing that caught my eye was the packaging. Apparently, it also caught the eye of my brother – in – law who questioned the Adult Dark label and suggested that I am now consuming naughty supplements.

He wasn’t entirely wrong – It totally felt sinful to be eating chocolate and calling it a vitamin but I immediately tore into the box and shared the chocolates around.

Now, here’s the thing. It’s good BUT.

You know how a salad cannot taste like pizza no matter how you arrange it? Vitamins are not going to taste like dessert. However, if you are consuming this product as a vitamin and not just thinking chocolate, you will be happy. Make sense?

Deco Vitamins deliver an impressive list of vitamins and minerals in a dark square of chocolate that is easily absorbed by the body. It combines the idea that dark chocolate is both good for heart health and blood pressure with a number of the recommended vitamins for adults.

They use premium Italian dark chocolate and there is no chalky taste or pills to swallow. To read more information on the ingredients and health benefits of DECO, check out the website. I recommend these to anyone who is currently not taking a multivitamin, loves chocolate and is looking to lower cholesterol.

Now, as I like to focus on sports nutrition on Wednesdays, last week I did a review of Genuine Health and how their products work into my day. (If you want to watch a ridiculous video of me chatting about training, click here.)

I also hosted a giveaway for a box of Black Raspberry Lemonade ActivFuel which is my favourite pre-workout energizer and workout sustainer.

The winner of the giveaway is Laurel!

Congratulations, Laurel! Please send your address to lacesandlattes@gmail.com and I will send the product your way.

Local athletes? Come talk to me at races and training events, I always have a couple extra packages of Genuine Health products to share!

Do you take any supplements? If so, which ones?

Would you take a chocolate vitamin?
