Pure NRG by Sears GIVEAWAY CLOSED
If you were to go into my dresser at this very moment you would see a few drawers neatly folded with the necessities of professional wear and the bottom two drawers heaped to the brim with spandex, cooling fabric and multi-colours.
The workout clothing drawers.
Considering an average day consists of both a morning and evening workout for me, I need workout gear that works as hard as I do. And it also would probably be ideal if it looked nice considering I spend so much of my time in it.
So a bit of background before we go too far. Pure NRG is launching this February and provides affordable workout clothing (all items cost less than $50) that features 4 way stretch fabric, flat lock seams and cool effect fabric.
To give the outfits a proper go, I didn’t stand around and pose. I hauled them in my bag to the gym and spent an afternoon working out to give them the best possible trial.
First outfit: YOGA
Athleisure™ Jersey Knit T-Shirt – $24.99
Studio Pant – $49.99
Other than the obvious fact that white is not my colour, this was a super comfortable and stretchy outfit. I was even able to hold a crow pose for a minute or so! I wear yoga pants as pj bottoms if they are comfortable enough and these certainly fit into that category.
I needed to ask my fashionista sister how to properly wear the shirt and she informed me to pull it off to one shoulder, so if you find yourself with this top, now you know.
The pants are mid rise and have a little pocket inset for you to store treasures, or if you are me, snacks. The shirt is a cotton-polyester-spandex blend so you can wear it to yoga class or out to dinner. Or if you are me, both. It has a drawstring and a kangaroo pocket (for snacks, obviously). Because it always is important to stay nourished.
Outfit 2: Tank and Crops
MD Performance Tank – $19.97
Adrenaline Capri – $29.99
I think this is my favourite outfit. I loved the pop of colour in the tank top and it fit comfortably for a long torsoed gal like myself. It had a built in bra and rounded neck which works well for me when I teach spin classes.
The crops were a great length – I love crops because they are so versatile throughout the seasons and this pair has a sneaky little media pocket.
I loved the racer back and mesh inserts in the back of the tank top for added cooling abilities.
Outfit 3: T shirt and Shorts.
Performance Tshirt – $19.97
Performance Short – $19.97
The classic workout outfit. I loved the t-shirt. It is so comfortable that I have worn it as casual wear, but I took it for a run and I found there was zero chafing, just some classy sweat marks because it is grey and I sweat like a polar bear in the desert.
The shorts wear a great length – they don’t ride up when I do sprints and are going to be one of my go-to’s for my summer races.
I loved the line and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an affordable workout line. Which is where you now come in!
Sears is giving away a $50 gift card to THREE readers to allow you to try the line for yourself!
