COFFEE DATE

Feb24

February Coffee Date

I don’t know about you, but I could go for a good cup of coffee right now.

Let’s chat about life stuff, shall we?

Currently watching

I saw this video on Hungry Runner Girl’s blog this week and loved watching Angela’s journey to ultimately winning a 100 miler.

Favourite podcast

Capture

I am all about the podcasts right now, but I think we should all draw attention to the fact that Run Selfie Repeat has just launched a podcast and it is just as motivating and playful as her blog. Have a listen.

Currently reading

I have a number of books on the go but I have been so busy over the past month I have had zero reading time. Shame!

Favourite photo that was taken this month

Before over 50% of my family decided to bugger off on a trip to Jamacia, we had a family dinner out and my dad snapped this candid photo of my mum and me. She said she didn’t love it because it wasn’t in control and that is a thousand times WHY I love it. I laugh ugly when I laugh hard and no one makes me laugh harder than my mum.

Currently obsessed with

Trainer rides on my deck. The weather is absolutely glorious in the back end of this month and I am taking full advantage.

Currently drinking

Water. I don’t know whether it is the dry weather or if I am coming down with something, but I have been consuming water like crazy.

Currently eating

These delightful little things.

These are no-bake, vegan protein brownies from the gods and you can find the recipe here.

Best Thing Online this Month

I had a really adorable online store reach out to me this month to do a sponsored post. I normally don’t do that sort of thing for my coffee date post but because I would have listed this stuff anyways because it’s so rad, I have included it.

I have a hard time coming up with creative and unique gifts for people and I am not the greatest decorator. Uncommongoods is an adorable online store that is focused on sustainability and giving back. If you read my post for February goals, you know that I am focused on a random act of kindness each day, and it’s not going to end there. I love companies like this that are a reflection of putting good stuff back out there in the world.

Beyond that, the stuff is just really dang cute. I have a bunch of weddings this year and it has some really neat ideas for that, like this intersecting photo frame.

One of my favourite graduation gifts was listed as well. I had it before I had a blog and it was an awesome way to keep me writing after I had finished all of my exams.

As for home decor? ‘Nuff said.

I have exposed brick at my house and this would be so epic, especially with the plants I am desperately trying not to kill!

That’s it for today – have an awesome weekend!

We had a week of amazing spring weather too and it felt so good to run outside. But now we’re back to the cold. : /
