Momentum Monday: Love Grown Giveaway

We are fast tracking through February! It is a good thing because I happen to be the worst Canadian ever. Give me heat and humidity over snow and ice any day!

This weekend, I did a double run, took in my first NHL game of the year and did a volunteer event with House of Friendship.

It was a solid way to close up a good week of training. Although I am not completely comfortable with where my training is at for Boston, I am doing everything I can considering working with stress fractures. Here is what this week looked like:

Monday: Treadmill intervals (12 KM), Elliptical (1 HR)

Tuesday: 30 min easy run, 30 minutes strength training

Wednesday: 1 hr spin class, 15 minutes strength

Thursday: 1 KM repeats (1 hr)

Friday: 20 minute cycle, 10 minutes strength, 15 minutes rowing machine, 16 minute stair climber, 1 hr elliptical

Saturday: 20 minute cycle

Sunday: 17 KM tempo run, 10 KM easy run

I pulled about a 12 hour training week which is where I should be right now. I am hoping things continue to go smoothly.

Recently, Angela and I were talking about movies and she mentioned the movie What Women Want.ย I am awful at basic pop culture and had never seen it so we put it at the top of our much watch list this weekend. I loved the movie and may be biased but I personally think that theย question ‘What Women Want’ is a pretty valid one, especially with Valentine’s Day looming.

I can tell you what I wanted after my morning tempo run on Sunday… THESE GUYS.

Love Grown Foods have come out with a special way to share the love this Valentine’s Day with adorable heart shaped cereal in strawberry and chocolate. It literally does not get more delicious or adorable than this.

If you can’t find them at your local grocery store, you can get the same taste, but without the cuteness, by mixing chocolate and strawberry Love Grown Power O‘s together.

It is a pretty phenomenal product and I am sharing the love for Valentine’s Day this year. Standard giveaway format – just leave a comment telling me your favourite cereal combination and give Love Grown a like on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.

Bonus entries for subscribing to my newsletter (I have some awesome discount codes and giveaways specifically for my newsletter subscribers and I have a bunch of new things planned for the spring) and giving me a like on Facebook.

You are going to LOVE it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I usually mix a sweet/flavour one with millet puffs or quinoa puffs to pump up volume in the bowl.

I like to dress up kamut puffs with a few sprinkles each of cinnamon and turmeric, and a handful of mixed nuts and seeds. Either served with milk or yogurt, both with fruit and maybe a bit of vanilla or almond extract.

I haven’t been to a hockey game in YEARS, but they are so fun!! One of the only sports I enjoy watching. I am loving granola/cereal lately on any kind of mushy mash. Things like pumpkin or blended sweet potatoes. Gives me that balance of texture.

I won’t enter because I got a box too BUT HOLY SMOKES – your week of training was insane! You put me to shame, girl!

Oh and just for kicks – you need to try cinnamon toast crunch mixed with PEANUT BUTTER TOAST CRUNCH (which I think is only available in the U.S.) but it is awesome and worth a drive across the border – haha!!

My favorite cereal combination is chocolate chia seed granola I can only find in Montana. Everytime we go through Missoula to my home in Montana we have to stop at the Good Food Store to get this granola. it’s amazing!! I love chocolate and ginber combinations. I cant find Love Grown cereals anywhere, so I want to try them for sure!! They look and sound amazing.

I like anything that’s a little sweet but still healthy. I’m also a big fan of clusters, like in Honey Bunches of Oats of Kashi GoLean Crunch. It’s something about the clusters! haha
