AR World Championships, A Weekend Fun Race and Polar Giveaway!

Happy Remembrance Day to my Canadian friends and Happy Friday to everyone.
thank-you

Right now, it is the AR world championships in Australia and I am having so much fun tracking some of the athletes I have raced alongside over the years.

There are so many amazing teams there and it is incredible to watch. If you have never tracked an AR before, you can see what it looks like here.

This weekend, I am doing a little off season fun AR which I have done every November for the past three years. Raid the Hammer. As always, I am competing in the co-ed full course (25 KM) with Dan Raymond who raced with me last year and Mark Cullen who is a new addition this year. As I have other years, I am entering this one with no plans of being competitive (especially as I am lead navigator this year) and instead, focus on a really fun, spiralling training run and spending some time with awesome adventure racers in the area.

Here are some of my recaps from other years.

2014– Done with double stress fractures and my first race with the team. I still stayed in the sport which shows how special this race is.

Every year, I switch up teammates a little bit because it is the perfect intro race to the sport but this IS a very special race for me and I am looking forward to a fun day running the escarpment.

Before I leave, I wanted to share some of the awesome entries for my Polar M200 contest. Remember, the contest winner will be announced on Monday morning so remember to put your photo up this weekend to be considered for the win!
